Yes it's a 1950 Imme. This is probably one of the rarest post-war German motorcycles, as IMME were only in production in the town of Immenstadt from 1948 - 1951. It's unique design is all down to the lack of basic materials, ie steel, so the front fork, frame and swing-arm are all 40mm steel tubing, with the swing-arm also acting as the exhaust pipe! Fitted with 98cc two-stroke engine, which develops 4.5BHP and has three gears but no neutral. Imme is a local dialect word for bee, hence the Bee tank badge. A very rare motorcycle, about 30 exist in Germany and this is the only one in the UK. This Imme spent most of it's life in a German museum. Many thanks to Julie Diplock for this information.
