This is my 1963 500cc Velocette Venom SP which when I bought 24 years ago was in a very sorry state and has taken much time and effort to get to how you see it now. It took a long time as my business had to come first.

I have strived to keep it totally original and reflect what a rich teenager might have had back in the sixties. Back then all I could afford was a Velocettte MAC and a very quick Velocette Viper.

The specification includes:- Aluminium Thruxton tank, Amal Mk11 Concentric carburettor, bacon slicers, Tickle twin leading shoe front brake, two-way damped front forks with exposed chromed springs, rear set rests, 12v conversion, silencer from an Indian Velo 500, crash bar from a Vincent, indicators, switch gear and levers from an Indian Enfield.

It now has a primary drive belt conversion from KTT Services (my wife's Christmas present) and It starts with the aid of an Alton Starter Motor. Later I will convert it to Thorspark Electronic Ignition and stick on some chequered tape...
